What is the culture of The Gulf Consulting Group? I would have to say that we are, first and foremost, an employee-first, company. We understand that our employee-first philosophy defies conventional business wisdom, which was most famously expressed by the late American economist Milton Friedman. Milton stated that the sole purpose of a corporation is to maximize shareholder returns. With all due respect to Milton, we have discovered at Gulf Consulting Group that if you take better care of your employees than anyone else, they will take better care of your customers. It is actually about creating this one-of-a-kind experience, where we operate our business with a focus on all of our stakeholders—but first and foremost on our employees.
This creates a culture in which employees get out of bed excited to go to work—to work alongside other great people. It's a goal to make our customers' lives better through the generous gift of organization, to help our vendors' businesses become everything they hope and dream they can be, and to make our communities a better place to live. And by doing so, we know that the lives of everyone associated with our business will be enriched, full of opportunity, and EVERYONE—all of our stakeholders—will be able to thrive.
